The Sounding Board
Attention Entrepreneurs & Small Business Owners
The DCTC Entrepreneurship Institute has created The Sounding Board. A free speaker series & networking opportunity to help you build your business. This has been specifically designed for current DCTC Entrepreneurship students, alumni and area small business owners/entrepreneurs desiring a new and innovated way to create new business connections.
The Sounding Board is a great way to continue the business linkages developed in the classroom at DCTC and further develop new networks with other small business owners. Current business owners will find an outlet for support and new resources that can help get you through the challenges and forge new opportunities as entrepreneurs.
The Sounding Board is part of DCTC’s commitment to continuing Entrepreneurship education. This is one of many opportunities outside the classroom that extend an open the door to area entrepreneurs and small business owners to explore how higher education can help in developing and growing their business.
Dates
The Sounding Board offers featured monthly speakers, facilitated networking groups and business support solutions. These sessions will meet every 2nd Thursday of each month from 7 - 8:30 p.m. and will be held at: Partners in Higher Education Building - Apple Valley

Each business has time to present a snap shot of your business and what your business has to offer the group.
7:30 – 8:30 – Speak UP
Speaker will address the topic of the night – allowing for questions
Topics will be directed toward Entrepreneurs and issues that would be relevant to them
8:00 – 8:30 – Sound It Out
Networking with other business owners and entrepreneurs
Business referral opportunities
Support Solutions – addressing any questions or needs of running a business
Costs
There is no charge to attend the Sounding Board thanks to contributions from the Coleman Foundation, Hughes Foundation and DCTC Foundation. Space may be limited so interested participants are strongly encouraged to call 651-423-8600 or e-mail Institute@dctc.edu to reserve a seat for each session they wish to attend.
